This policy explains what [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("BulaCab", "we", "us") collects when you register interest during our pre-launch phase, and what we do with it. BulaCab is not yet an operating service.

1. Overview
BulaCab is a pre-launch transportation project preparing to operate in New Delhi. During this phase we collect a small amount of information from people who register interest as riders or drivers, so we can keep them informed and contact them when onboarding opens.
We do not run a ride-hailing service today. We do not process trips, payments, or location data. This policy will be expanded before any service launches, and you will be asked to review the updated version at that time.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what you send us. That typically means:
- Contact details — your name and the WhatsApp phone number you message us from.
- What you tell us — the content of your messages, including whether you are interested as a rider or a driver, your city or area, and anything else you choose to share (for example, vehicle details for drivers).
- Basic technical data — if you visit this website, our hosting provider may log standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not ask for identity documents, payment information, or precise location during pre-launch. Please do not send sensitive documents until we request them through a formal onboarding process.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your message and answer questions.
- To send you launch updates and timeline information you have asked for.
- To contact you when rider access or driver onboarding opens in your area.
- To understand demand by area so we can plan our launch.
- To keep records of consent and communication as required by law.
Our legal basis for this processing is your consent (which you give by messaging us and asking to be kept informed) and our legitimate interest in preparing to launch a service. You can withdraw consent at any time — see section 7.
4. WhatsApp and third parties
Registration happens over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you message us, your communication is also handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. We receive the phone number and profile name WhatsApp associates with your account.
We also rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Website hosting and content delivery.
- Email and messaging tools used to manage our contact list.
- Spreadsheet or database tools used to keep registration records.
These providers may store data outside Delhi, India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable level of protection.
6. How long we keep it
We keep pre-launch registration data until the earlier of: (a) you ask us to delete it; (b) our launch in your area is complete and you have either onboarded or declined; or (c) [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months] of inactivity. Records we are legally required to keep (such as proof of consent) may be retained longer.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to request a copy of your data in portable form.
- To stop updates — reply STOP to any WhatsApp message, or email us at support@bulacab.com.
- To delete your data — email us and we will remove your registration record within [30] days.
- To make any other request — contact us using the details in section 11.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in Delhi, India.
8. Security
We limit access to registration data to the people who need it, use reputable providers, and apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
BulaCab is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under [18]. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the record.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as BulaCab moves from pre-launch to a live service. If we make a material change, we will post the new version here and, where we have a way to reach you, notify you before the change takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
